The formula behind Kuana traces its lineage back more than 2,500 years. In Sri Lanka, it was preserved in sacred scriptures written on palm leaves, bound into books known as olas.
This wisdom belongs to an ancient science called Deha Dhamma — "divine body care" — where plants were understood as both nourishment and blessings for the body.

Born of friendship, mentorship, and a sacred blessing, Kuana carries forward a Sri Lankan skincare tradition that dates back millennia.
The recipe had been safeguarded by a shaman, Dosthora Mudalihamy Warnasuriya, before it was entrusted to his friend, Eugene, in Costa Rica, with the understanding that it was more than a gift of beauty: it was a way to bring comfort and relief to those seeking balance for their skin.
Eugene held onto the formula for years, waiting patiently for the right person to help him share it with the world. That person was Malorie.
Entrusted With a Timeless Tradition
What began as a chance meeting in Costa Rica became the beginning of Kuana’s story. Malorie first experienced Kuana when it was simply an oil with no name and was struck by the instant uplifting effects it had on her wellbeing.
A lifelong lover of the sun and sea, she immediately saw something special: a way to care for skin after a life lived in the elements, without relying on harsh or unnecessary chemicals.
She and Eugene joined forces to bring the formula to more people while staying true to what made it so powerful in the first place. Today, Kuana carries 2,500 years of botanical wisdom forward, honoring its origins while sharing its restorative power with the modern world.
